Australia Post provides a leading Bill Payment service via retail and self-service offerings. The self-service offering is known as POSTbillpay and provides Internet, Phone and Web Service services for Australia Post and its 3rd Parties.
Requirement
Australia Post were after highly skilled Solution Architects, Database Architects, Database Administrators, Application Developers and Security Analysts to supplement their own team and other external suppliers.
Solution/Services
DBAInc have been involved across all lifecycle phases of the POSTbillpay project; starting with the adaptation of 3rd party software to the Australian Banking System, continuing on with the complete reimplementation of the product suite to meet new requirements (features, security, capacity, disaster recovery, etc…), and through to the day-to-day maintenance and support of the mission critical system.
DBAInc has worked with Australia Post and has been heavily involved in the Specification of Requirements, Server and Application Architecture, Application Design, and the subsequent Implementation of these specifications of the entire POSTbillpay product suite. The POSTbillpay expertise and experience that DBAInc maintains is regularly utilised during regulatory compliance auditing and at the enterprise level within Australia Post itself.
The POSTbillpay reimplementation focused attention on aspects regularly overlooked in traditional software development.

POSTbillpay is a Microsoft based design. The solution is hosted on the Windows 2000/2003 Server platform and extensively uses the features of SQL Server 2000/2005, SQL Server 2000/2005 Analysis Services, Exchange 2000 Server, Windows Load Balancing, and Active Directory (LDAP). |
